“All of us have something to contribute and one of the most valuable things we can give is our time.”

Established in 2004 on the principle that the time and skills of people can be as valuable as their money, TimeWorks serves the Bahamian community by mobilizing a diverse group of individuals in volunteerism and civic engagement.

TimeWorks makes volunteering easy and fun by taking care of all of the details: identifying areas of genuine need, creating viable projects, and ensuring that the organizations that benefit are legitimate. In the process, it helps non-profits to expand their service capacity and complete work that might otherwise go undone.

To date, TimeWorks has provided more than 3,500 ‘man’ hours to local non-profit organizations, including Adelaide Primary School, the Children’s Emergency Hostel, the KidsUp! after school programme, the Salvation Army School for the Blind, Special Olympics Bahamas and the Women’s Crisis Centre.
