Every Child Counts

Second installment of a three-year recurring grant providing scholarship assistance to Abaco’s sole institution dedicated to helping children with intellectual and physical disabilities who would not otherwise be able to afford special education.

Friends of the Environment

Governor General’s Youth Award

General operating support of this exceptional international awards programme for young Bahamians. Fourteen to 25-year-olds participate in a balanced, non-competitive curriculum of voluntary activities based on the concept of individual challenge and designed to encourage personal discovery and growth, self-reliance, perseverance, responsibility to themselves and service to their community.

Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Princess Margaret Hospital

Wild Horses of Abaco Preservation Society

Purchase of materials to extend electric fencing in a preserve that protects endangered horses thought to be direct descendants of a breed brought to The Bahamas more than 500 years ago, during the Europeans’ exploration of the New World.
